Center for Faculty Excellence

The Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE) is the University’s faculty development center, reporting to Executive Vice Provost Ron Strauss. The CFE provides programs, consultations, and resources related to leadership, mentoring, research, teaching and learning, and development for faculty at all career stages.

Institute for the Arts and Humanities

The Institute for the Arts and Humanities (IAH) provides leadership programs, fellowships, faculty programs, grants, awards, and networking opportunities to support faculty from the Arts and Humanities as well as all areas of campus.

National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity

UNC-CH is an institutional member of the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NCFDD). Sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences, the Center for Faculty Excellence, the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, the Graduate School, and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, the NCFDD offers a plethora of resources and connections for faculty development in promotion/tenure, mentoring, scholarly writing and managing faculty life. Faculty can claim their individual membership with their email address.
